Welcome to the Fort Worth Animal Farm!!!

Located on the east side of Fort Worth on 12 wooded acres along the Trinity River and just minutes from any major highway in the bustling metroplex, the Fort Worth Animal Farm, most commonly referred to as the Funny Farm is a very special place that we would like to share with you.  We began our dream in 2004 and it has emerged as one of the most pleasant little surprises in Fort Worth.

***** Unfortunately, our farm was devastated by Hurricane Hermine in September of last year after Enterprise Pipeline constructed a 30" natural gas transmission line along the neighbor's side of our fence without a City of Fort Worth flood plain permit.  To read more, please see the links below.  *****

Many of our facilities were destroyed as a result, but we are in the process of re-building so please excuse our renovations  and new construction!

The property and facilities may not be as beautiful as they once were but our spirit of fun and love for animals hasn't changed.  We are blessed!!!!

The Funny Farm is an actual working farm.  A working farm is defined as a tract of land devoted to the raising and breeding of domestic animals.  Although we are located in the City of Fort Worth, we are zoned for agricultural  use  so  we  are able  to  have  different  kinds of animals.  At the Funny Farm we are dedicated to preserving such farming activities as  raising various breeds of   poultry,  waterfowl, and peafowl.  In addition to our avian (bird) speciality, we also raise various breeds of sheep.  Some of our other animals have been rescued from some very sad living conditions but now live happily at the Funny Farm.  We are committed to the preservation, care, and well-being of animals, both small and large, and invite you to experience first-hand for your education and enjoyment, the interesting and entertaining animals at the Funny Farm.  Everyone who visits the Funny Farm leave with their hearts a little lighter and take with them fond memories of their experience.

It is fun to watch the motorists pass by the Funny Farm on their commutes to and from work.  They tend to drive a little less hurriedly as no one evr knows what they might see.  The llamas might be strutting their stuff along the fence line curiously watching the passers-by.  The donkeys might be hee-hawing their happiness with life.  The sheep might be playing king of the hay bale.  And then of course, you never know when you might catch a glimpse of a new baby coming into the world.  New babies are the best and are always a source of delight around the farm.  There is just something about animals that captures the hearts of people.

If you are one of the lucky ones who pass  by  the Funny Farm  on  a regular basis, you already have  an  idea  of  how  special  it is  but now you  can  take a virtual tour and hopefully someday soon come visit us.  At the Funny Farm, we  love  our animal  family  and we hope you do too.  Please enjoy  our site and feel free to ask any questions and leave any comments/suggestions.
